I love tech, games and good art in all its forms. I played a lot of poker, chess and other games growing up - if it was competitive, I was into it. I was typing at 60 WPM in Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft 3 long before I had honed my handwriting (which is still terrible).
In my early teens, I dreamed of making it big as a online poker pro and slogged away on Amazon MTurk for a month to fund a $100 bankroll which I lost it in a fraction of that time.
But my appetite for probability, risk and tech led to some fun professional opportunities:
I ran a bootstrapped cryptocurrency news publication where I was first to the scene for some historic events like the DAO hack and Ethereum hard fork.
I've done the full spectrum of roles: sales, customer support and technical solutions for pre and post sales integrations
Today, I'm a product builder at Chainalysis working with a bunch of talented people primarily focused on Reactor, our crypto crime busting graphing software.
I also spend a lot of time thinking about applied AI and where it can make things better for our customers.
I've learnt a ton building and selling software over the past decade, and I'm still having a great time doing it. To boil down my learnings to a single sentence: great products come from understanding what people need and knowing what's possible. Getting better at both is my ongoing mission.
I write here to share how I think, what I've learned, and things I find interesting, useful or just entertaining.
